Jean Pederson Workshop

I took a great workshop from Jean Pederson. The first photo shows the "ground" she taught us to make. This is textured, stenciled, collaged, gesso, paper. Then the actual painting is done over this surface. Another really great workshop!

Portrait and Figurative work

I have not posted for some time, but I continue to work on my art/ I have been taking workshops, and continue to attend a weekly open figure drawing class. This is the best way to improve! your paintings are only as strong as your drawings. This is the way I love to use watercolor, fast, loose, flowing colors.
